First anti-tank weapon, the T-Gewehr or Mauser 1918 was created as an emergency in 1918 to address the threat of armored allies. It was based on the standard rifle of the German army the Mauser K98, but shooting just individual shots, penetrating shields and destroying the vehicle by the kinetic energy only.

16 000 were made at the end of the war.
