The Joint Agency Coordination Center (JACC) is an organisation established by the Australian Government to coordinate support for search and recovery operations related to missing Malaysian Airlines MH370. It is headed by Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Angus Houston and operates from Perth, Western Australia.
The center's establishment was announced by Prime Minister Tony Abbott on 30 March 2014.[1]
The JACC does not perform any search, recovery or investigation activities, but provides a single point of contact for affected parties including relatives of the missing passengers and crew. The JACC also provides information to the public about the latest developments in the search and recovery operation.
