The Lockheed Martin F-16E Block 60 is a variant of the F-16 Fighting Falcon, with improved electronics. It was originally made for the United Arab Emirates. Other countries showed interest and now operate these aircraft such as Chile, Holand, Greece and Israel, who made their own versions of the F-16E, the F-16I Sufa.

The F-16 Block 60, was initially considered as F-16C/D variant, but in recognition of major changes in the aircraft, he became known as the F-16E/F Block 60. This is an aircraft that in many respects is quite new in relation to other versions in the F-16 family.

The scope has increased with the addition of additional tanks in the fuselage, and it incorporates systems in other F-16 are incorporated in the wings, such as the FLIR system that allows guided smart weaponry. It also received an additional compartment in the 'spine', or top of the fuselage between the cockpit two-seater models and the vertical rear light, which accommodates part of electronic systems. Reducing the need to occupy more space on the wings with 'pods' additional seats with additional placement of equipment and tanks with "conformal" carrying up to 2,000 gallons of fuel, the Block 60 has more autonomy and/or greater capacity to carry weapons than their counterparts, and that setting a 'clean' with fewer weapons, aircraft have better aerodynamics. Besides these advantages, the Block 60 has a sophisticated sensor suite, where the head is the type of radar AN/APG-80 AESA. It conforms to MIL-STD-1773, with most of the wiring of data between various sensors and aircraft equipment are in fiber and therefore are immune to electronic interference, and have a speed of data transmission 1000 times higher than in other airplanes of this type.
