Lynn Manning Clark (12 April 1919 in Massachusetts - 22 September 2002 in Holyoke, Massachusetts) was a American Private in the United States Army during World War II.

BiographyEdit

Lynn was born 12 April 1919 in the state of Massachusetts. He was the son of Hiram B. and Vera L. Clark. He also had a brother named Howard S. Clark. Lynn enlisted in the United States Army from Springfield, Massachusetts on 29 August 1943 (ASN: 11008083) and served in World War II until being discharged 8 April 1946. After being discharged, he started working for the Westfield Public School district in Westfield, Massachusetts. He served as the Administrative Assistant to Superintendent Thomas J. Abernethy from 1959 to 1962 when Abernethy retired. After Abernethy retired, Lynn took over his place as Superintendent. Lynn stayed as the Superintendent until 1971. After that Lynn served as Superintendent of Wareham Public Schools from 1972 to 1978. He retired after that job. He later settled in Holyoke, Massachusetts where he died 22 September 2002. He was buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield, Massachusetts.
