Peter H. Watson was the second United States Assistant Secretary of War from January 24-January 28, 1862, a United States Patent attorney and a personal friend to Abraham Lincoln.

Biography[]

Watson was a United States patent attorney and for four days from January 24-January 28, 1862 was the 2nd United States Assistant Secretary of War. He replaced Thomas Alexander Scott.[1][2] On January 29, 1862 John Tucker replaced Watson and assumed the positon as Assistant Secretary of War.
